Workshare, the manufacturer of DeltaView (retired), released version 5.2 SR2 to the public. Version 5.2 has a bevy of new features around their comparison, collaboration, protection and control technologies and now supplies a connector for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 [applause]. To the point, Workshare can now compare embedded Excel tables and images as well as convert and compare image-based documents. It also can combine content into a PDF portfolios for collaboration, redact documents, discover metadata in password-protected documents, preview cleaned attachments and PDF conversions, and provide device control and USB-port protection. But that's not all that's new under Workshare. It has also partnered with Safend.
Safend is an endpoint data protection provider. Combined with Workshare's desktop and server products, Safend aims to give Workshare customers the benefit of its device and removable media encryption technologies.
