Digital Reef, developer of a scalable data management platform for unstructured data, announced the launch of a Digital Reef Partner Program. The program is designed to make unstructured data management more accessible to organizations and includes selected service partners who will add value to product offerings using Digital Reef technology
After all, unstructured data accumulates from a variety of applications in the enterprise. To organize the data, it makes sense to use a “best practices” approach from multiple providers. And with Digital Reef technology as the foundation, Windows shops will find some good, all-around coverage.
Digital Reef has out-of-the-box integration with Microsoft Office SharePoint. It’s J2EE foundation includes connectors to support Active Directory. So even a segregated implementation of SharePoint servers scattered across the firm can be discovered (indexed) and managed (data analysis and classification). Digital Reef can also make use of a previously installed FAST search engine technology from Microsoft to generate and search indices – all from a Web browser.
Digital Reef is licensed as on-premise software and aims to satisfy the requirements of system integrators, who need to quickly deliver high-quality services to clients, as well as law firms and e-discovery service who need to get a grip on unstructured data. Its standalone platform to discover and manage unstructured data sounds easy to install and configure and integrate with Windows services and other data management products.
