In the old days, when we redacted paper with permanent, magic markers, the magic stayed in the redaction. Although the digital world made it more difficult to definitively redact documents, digital tools to accomplish the job keep getting better.
Recently, Informative Graphics announced the latest developments in its redaction technology in the Brava! suite, a multi-format viewing, annotation, and secure content delivery platform.
Brava! now includes the ability to intelligently and automatically redact privacy information, to verify or review redactions before finalizing them for final distribution, and to perform ‘peek through’ redaction. 'Peek through' redaction blacks out a large area, e.g., a page, and leaves a small area un-redacted.
Users can output redacted files to TIF, PDF or Informative Graphics’ secure Content Sealed Format (CSF) with Visual Rights. Visual Rights allow users to add additional file security like password protection and expiration date as well as restrictions for print, copy, markup, and other features.
